In ONE SIMPLE STITCH, ebook with video demonstrations, the author Helen M Stevens begins a crusade to prove that if you can bring your needle up through your fabric, and take it back through to the reverse, you can embroider . . . and you can work all the projects in this book.

And you don’t even need lengthy step-by-step instructions. All the information you need is encompassed by a template, a colour chart and a unique ‘directional diagram’. Armed with these three weapons, and one simple stitch, you will slay the dragon which has held you back from working true embroidery. And with no counted thread techniques, there’s no counting either.

So sit back, enjoy the text and the videos and prepare to become a confident embroiderer. All with ONE SIMPLE STITCH. This ebook includes videos of Helen M Stevens demonstrating the stitches and techniques.

Once you have enjoyed this ebook, develop your embroidery skills further with the One Simple Stitch range of embroidery epatterns.

‘Rainbow Disks range of ebooks are a brilliant format for craft titles. You get the best practical elements of a book and a DVD combined in a really useful set-up. The ebook is a full-colour pdf stored on a CD, which you can view on your PC or Mac. You can print text pages or templates easily, search the text and zoom in. The video segments are really short and specific, in this case perfect for illustrating Helen Stevens’ one-stitch embroidery techniques close-up. The videos are embedded at the appropriate points in the text within the lesson chapter of the ebook so you don’t need to search through chapters, or change your media viewer. One Simple Stitch is a very good embroidery lesson, the technique is simple, and the designs are very impressive. The lesson itself is first rate; the six designs are beautiful and exceptionally clearly described. There are tracing images, colour charts, stitch direction charts and finished images for every design, as well as detailed stitching instructions for each. This is an excellent ebook; I’m keen to explore more in the Rainbow Disks series’. – Katy Purvis, Popular Patchwork

In this great e-book from Rainbow Disks Helen teaches a whole new approach to embroidery. She simplifies embroidery to such an extent that everyone will want to try.

Helen shows you that there is no need to know fancy stitches, or to follow complicated stitch guides, instead you work from a template (which you can print from the book) and a directional guide and use just ‘one simple stitch’ to make all the stunning projects in this book.
The book includes useful integrated video clips showing Helen demonstrating the techniques used in the book.

The benefit of it being an e-book is as well as video guides you can click on the integrated links in the text to take you straight to the relevant section of the book.

This ebook truly aids anyone to learn how to embroider the 6 projects in the book. Helen M. Stevens has developed a method of embroidery which truly does involve only needing to make straight stitches, the magic to creating the ‘pictures’ being where and at what direction.

There are videos of Helen demonstrating the stitching, playable whenever you want and as many times as you want (a vast improvement on reading how to make a stitch no matter how good the writer or how many diagrams are provided).

Printable templates, colour guides and stitch directional diagrams for each of the 6 projects. It is the innovation of the directional diagrams, which are being introduced for the first time in this ebook, which solves the ‘worry’ for anyone when embroidering. It is the lie of the straight stitches that create the effects and Helen has by this ebook done everything she could to share her creative ability with us.

Each of the projects is taken from nature and makes a beautiful picture in its own right:-poinsettia, butterfly and clematis (as shown on cover), robin and sweet peas, fieldmouse (under wheat and poppy), damselfly and iris, and blackberries with travellers joy.
