Review by Lyssa Ryan for The Beadworkers’ Guild Journal
‘The designs in Beaded Jewellery by Barbara Case are quite modern and wearable, a selection of necklaces, bracelets and earrings. There are some lovely ideas for using up leftover beads – of which anyone who does beading always has plenty (!) so the material costs of the projects needn’t be expensive. The author Barbara Case is good at showing you how to use the gorgeous larger beads you find in craft shops – those you are never quite certain how to use! Also featured is the very clever idea of using link pieces (eg 2-1 links) as components in their own right, to make interesting and unusual pieces.

This book has some beautifully simple designs in it, many of which really could be accomplished by a beginner with the appropriate tools and a little confidence. All the designs are shown step-by-step, and they are clever ideas rather than complicated beading projects. You could, if you wanted, start most of these projects at your computer, then take them away to work on if necessary. This would be a great introduction to making beaded jewellery. It would also be suitable for someone with a little more experience, who wants to try out a few ideas that may be new to them, or someone who is not yet confident with jewellery design (yes, I am in this last category!). It is also honest about the difficulty levels of the projects. Good design, and beautiful components are the key to making these beautiful-looking pieces of jewellery.

I enjoyed this book, and feel that it did inspire me and give me more design confidence.’

I was so looking to receiving this disc and it certainly did not disappoint – I want to make EVERYTHING!!! This is a new hobby for me and I am looking forward to making my first piece of jewllery.

I received the two ebooks today and just had to let you know how pleased I am! Your new book is absolutely awesome! I cannot wait to get started! The ruby necklace is my favorite piece and I loved the ideas with silk cord. I have quite a collection of cording but didn’t really know how to go about using it until now.

I was amazed at how quickly the package arrived! Thank-you for your prompt service. I’m looking forward to ordering more books as they become available.

I have to close now because I can’t wait to get started.

I viewed the Barbara Case ebook (Beaded Jewelery) this morning and as anticipated, it’s beautiful. Same great quality of interesting designs she had in her printed books.

First class ebook giving Top Class Description and Photographs. Barbara certainly knows her Beading, I look forward to some of her other books being put out as ebooks. My only concern was although a list of worldwide suppliers are given, a list of the actual ones used for each project is needed as it would take too long to find which in the list stocks the particular items.
    Thanks for a good Product.
