I highly recommend this book for beginning beaders and intermediate beaders alike! It’s just chock full of wonderful beading information and tips, as well as some really beautiful projects. I found the section on tools, threads, and basic beading stitches to be really comprehensive and easy to understand, and the introduction of videos as a learning tool is REALLY helpful!! There are also resources listed to help in sourcing your supplies.

The jewelry projects are lovely, and sure to please someone on your gift list, and the greeting cards are something that I personally ADORE. What a wonderful idea, and it combines a little gift for family and friends, which I think is just perfect for giving to long-distance friends when you can’t afford to ship a larger parcel – you’ll be able to give a gift in the card itself!!!

Review of Katie Deans “Beaded Christmas” E-Book
I was lucky enough to be chosen to write a review of these set of three E –books by Katie Dean.
Having never read one before, I have been amazed at how brilliant they are. The interactive links made the whole reading experience so enjoyable and good fun.
The contents page is fully interactive and by clicking on a chapter heading you immediately jump to it. Words in blue are also interactive and will lead you to the necessary information very quickly ( Stitch techniques, etc.). The fact that you can zoom in or out when looking at diagrams is especially helpful. The beading diagrams are very clear with thread paths clearly shown.
All projects are graded for both difficulty, and time to complete which is really handy.
The introduction to each book contain lots of really useful information, some of which I don’t think I had read before. The section on useful tips, and correcting mistakes was especially good.
The videos on stitches are great and I feel that even a beginner would be able to follow Katie’s clear explanations.

IN my opinion any of these books would be a valuable resource for anyone looking to make unique gifts, cards, or decorations. ( In addition many of the projects could be used at times other than at Christmas, making it even more of a “good buy”).
